Focus and Scope
Community: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat aims at publishing conceptual thoughts or ideas and research findings that have been achieved in the field of service to the community. This journal contains research-based community service results such as PAR (Participatory Action Research), ABCD (Asset Based Community Development), CBR (Community-Based Research), Service Learning, Community Development, and other methodologies. This journal focuses on some scope and interest, such as:
- Service to the community;
- Local food security;
- Training, marketing, technological accuracy, and design;
- Community empowerment and social access;
- Outskirt areas and undeveloped areas; and
- Education for sustainable development.

Peer Review Process
Every submitted paper is independently reviewed by at least two peer-reviewers. Decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is based upon their reports/recommendation. If two or more reviewers consider a manuscript unsuitable for publication in this journal, a statement explaining the basis for the decision will be sent to the authors within six months of the submission date.
The suggested decision will be evaluated in an editorial board meeting. Afterwards, the editor will send the final decision to the corresponding author. Utilizing feedback from the peer review process, the Editor will make a final publication decision. The review process will take approximately 4 to 12 weeks. Decisions categories include:
- Reject - Rejected manuscripts will not be published and authors will not have the opportunity to resubmit a revised version of the manuscript to Journal of JERS.
- Resubmit for Review– The submission needs to be re-worked, but with significant changes, may be accepted. However, It will require a second round of review.
- Accept wtih Revisions - Manuscripts receiving an accept-pending-revisions decision will be published in Journal of Community: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat under the condition that minor/major modifications are made. Revisions will be reviewed by an editor to ensure necessary updates are made prior to publication.
- Accept - Accepted manuscripts will be published in the current form with no further modifications required.
Publication Frequency
Community: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, is a Research Journal managed by Academia Publication. Community is published regularly two times a year, start year since 2021 (Mart and September), with the minimum number of 5 articles to be published in each issue.
Open Access Policy
This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
